IRE Runtime Environment

The main goal of the Runtime Environment Prototype, is to achieve a scalable and extensible integration of the three platforms (AsTeRICS ARE, URC, MyUI) in order to produce a multiplatform environment which will "harvest“ the benefits of each platform. We will create the Socket with the SocketBuilder step by step and deploy it on a local UCH instance for testing purposes. Universal Control Hub 1.0 (ATR)

This Technical Report specifies the "Universal Control Hub" (short UCH) architecture. The UCH architecture is a profiling of the Universal Remote Console (URC) in the context of a Remote User Interface scenario.The UCH allows the application of the URC technology in an environment with non-URC compliant controllers and non-URC compliant targets. In this approach,the URC technology is implemented "in a box", with the Universal Control Hub acting as gateway between various controllers and various targets.

UCHj is an open-source Java reference implementation of the Universal Control Hub (UCH) 1.0 specification. It is partially conforming to ISO/IEC 24752:2013. This software is intended for developers and researchers of remote user interfaces, and manufacturers of applicances, controllers and home control gateways.
